’tis the season

‘Tis the season for spring training… and also, apparently, basketball.  My baseball-loving nephew discovered basketball this winter.  Like his love of kayaking, baseball, and skiing (Nordic and Alpine), he comes by his new sport honestly.  His parents are both proud Davidson alumni and they are dedicated Steph Curry/Golden State Warriors fans.  As I have no prior basketball allegiances, I am just fine with my nephew’s newfound fandom.  But if the kid decides to become a Yankees fan someday [choke], we may have issues.

I cannot wait to surprise him with these cookies when he comes East in 2 weeks.  I think he will appreciate them for at least a few seconds before he decides to lick the icing on every cookie.  At 5 years old, he is entitled to enjoy the sugar more than the design 🙂
