the cookie compromise

The intense negotiations over the fiscal cliff have prevented me from taking any real time off in December.  It would be too kind say that our friends on the Hill have made it a tense holiday season. BUT… nothing gets between me and holiday baking.  I have spent every spare waking hour since Thanksgiving with the only known cure for Washington’s political consternation: icing bags and the History Guys.

I decided to use traditional shapes to make less-than-traditional cookies this year.  Flowers for Christmas? Yes, please!
